HubSpot chatbot: what HubSpot offers on its own and how to add Kyros

HubSpot offers rule-based chatflows on every plan and an AI customer agent from Professional up. If you want an assistant that answers from your pages with source links, add Kyros through site footer HTML.

Yes, HubSpot has its own chatbot, in two forms. With chatflows you build rule-based bots that follow the rules and flows you set up. According to HubSpot, they’re available on all products and plans, including the free ones. Some actions depend on your plan: if/then branches need Professional or Enterprise, and the knowledge base or support bot needs Service Hub Professional or Enterprise.

AI answers come from the Breeze customer agent. It answers customer questions from synced knowledge base articles, files and website pages. It requires a Professional or Enterprise subscription to a HubSpot hub (Marketing, Sales, Service, Data, Content, Smart CRM or Revenue Hub), and deploying it consumes HubSpot Credits. HubSpot offers 14 days of free access if you opt in. The agent needs a live chat channel and, on sites not hosted on HubSpot, the HubSpot tracking code.

As of October 1, 2026, per HubSpot’s help articles on chatflows and the customer agent. Plans and features change; HubSpot’s current documentation is what counts.

When HubSpot’s own bot is the right choice

If your team works in the HubSpot CRM and chats should run through a HubSpot live chat channel, HubSpot’s own bot is the obvious choice. Kyros can’t replace that: it has no CRM connection, no inbox and no handoff to staff.

When a HubSpot chatbot alternative makes sense

It’s different if your site runs on HubSpot and what you mainly need is answers to questions about your content: with source links, in several languages and without moving to a Professional plan. Then you can add an external assistant like Kyros to your HubSpot pages with a code snippet. According to HubSpot, the field for that is available on all products and plans. Kyros isn’t a HubSpot integration here; it’s a chat widget whose code you paste in.

When Kyros fits alongside HubSpot

For sites on HubSpot that need an assistant for questions about their own content, without changing their HubSpot plan.

  • Answers from pages you choose

You paste the URLs of your HubSpot pages, one per line, and write Golden answers for questions where the exact wording matters. Kyros doesn’t crawl a whole site or take files. Pages can re-sync every 6, 12 or 24 hours or weekly.

  • Source links under the answer

When an answer draws on your pages, numbered “Further Links” appear below it. If your content has no answer, the assistant is instructed to say so. That’s not a guarantee.

  • 9 languages plus Easy language

The widget comes in German, English, Ukrainian, Arabic, Turkish, Russian, Polish, French and Farsi; Arabic and Farsi run right to left. There’s also Easy language (Leichte Sprache); it doesn’t replace checked texts.

  • Collect leads with a Card (Beta)

An Interactive Card can, for example, take a callback request with name, email and topic in the chat. Submissions are stored per Card and export as CSV; a Card action can send them to your own endpoint. There’s no ready-made transfer to HubSpot.

  • No Professional hub needed

According to HubSpot, the code snippet field is available on all plans. The Kyros Starter plan is €0, permanently, with no credit card, and includes one assistant with a chat widget. Every message uses credits; each model shows its credits per message before you pick it. We haven’t checked whether a free HubSpot account can host website pages on a connected domain.

  • Hosted in Germany

The API and database run in Frankfurt, and a DPA under Art. 28 GDPR is available. Content moderation checks incoming messages before the model sees them. The provider of the chosen AI model processes the messages, not always in Germany.

How to add Kyros to HubSpot

This puts the floating chat bubble on every page of a domain. Labels follow HubSpot’s English help center, as of October 1, 2026.

Kyros offers two modes: the floating bubble, a <script> for every page, and the inline frame, an <iframe> for one spot on a page. The floating bubble code looks like this; your ID and signature are in the code you copy:

<script src="https://kyros.omniratio.de/api/widget?id=…&sig=…&type=chatbot"></script>
  1. Copy the code: In Kyros, open “Install the widget” for your assistant and choose “Floating bubble” and the HTML guide. There’s no HubSpot-specific guide in the dialog.
  2. Allow your domain: Under “Website access,” you set which domains the chat can open on. Add the domain of your HubSpot site there. On other domains the chat button still shows, but the chat window won’t load.
  3. Open HubSpot settings: Click the settings icon in the top navigation bar, then Content → Pages in the left sidebar.
  4. Pick a domain: In the “Choose a domain to edit its settings” dropdown, select your domain or the defaults for all domains.
  5. Paste the code: In the Site Footer HTML section, click “Override default settings,” paste the Kyros code and click Save at the bottom left.
  6. Check: Reload a page on the domain. Kyros recommends placing the code just before the closing </body> tag; HubSpot’s help doesn’t say explicitly that site footer HTML is output exactly there. If the bubble appears and a conversation starts, you’re done.

HubSpot lists this as available for all products and plans, with editing options that vary by subscription and content type. Domain-level snippets need the “Website settings” permission. Source: HubSpot help on code snippets.

On a single page only

Open the page in the content editor and go to Settings → Advanced → “Additional code snippets” → Footer HTML. This needs the “Edit and Publish” permission. According to HubSpot, the footer HTML field isn’t available for blog posts or knowledge base articles.

Chat window inside the page (inline frame)

In Kyros, choose “Inline frame” and copy the <iframe> code. In HubSpot, in a rich text module, click Insert → Embed, paste the embed code and click Insert. Use the code rather than a URL: according to HubSpot, the URL option only supports oEmbed-format URLs. Source: HubSpot help on embedding media.

Check before you go live

  • Cookie consent

According to HubSpot, its cookie banner can’t automatically block cookies from scripts you place on the page yourself. So the Kyros code in site footer HTML loads regardless of the banner. To tie it to consent, you need HubSpot’s cookie banner API. Whether you need to is a question for your data protection officer.

  • Content Security Policy

HubSpot lets you set security headers from Content Hub Starter up, under Settings → Content → Domains & URLs → Actions → Update domain security settings → Security headers. If your site sends a Content Security Policy, it must allow content from kyros.omniratio.de, or the browser blocks the widget. The developer tools console shows what is blocked.

  • Quotes

According to HubSpot, header or footer HTML set for all domains, or for a domain used for quotes, also appears on quotes. Pick your website’s domain specifically if the chat shouldn’t show up there.

  • Notices in the widget

Every Kyros widget permanently notes that answers are AI-generated and may be inaccurate, and it has a privacy panel (“Privacy” → “Using our chatbot”). You set how long conversations are kept for each assistant.

HubSpot chatbot FAQ

Does HubSpot have its own AI chatbot?

Yes. HubSpot offers two kinds: rule-based chatflows, which HubSpot says are available on all products and plans, and the AI-powered Breeze customer agent. The customer agent answers questions from synced knowledge base articles, files and website pages and needs a live chat channel. On sites not hosted on HubSpot, it also requires the HubSpot tracking code. This is as of October 1, 2026; check HubSpot’s help center for current details.

How much does the HubSpot chatbot cost?

Rule-based chatflows are available on all HubSpot plans, according to HubSpot, though some actions such as if/then branches need Professional or Enterprise. The AI-powered Breeze customer agent requires a Professional or Enterprise subscription to a HubSpot hub, and deploying it consumes HubSpot Credits. There’s a 14-day free-access opt-in. We don’t quote HubSpot’s prices here; see HubSpot for current pricing. As of October 1, 2026.

Can I add a different chatbot to HubSpot pages?

Yes, with a code snippet. HubSpot lets you add your own code to a domain’s site footer HTML or to a single page’s footer HTML, and lists this as available for all products and plans. For Kyros, paste the floating bubble code there. For a chat window inside the page, use the inline frame in a rich text module. HubSpot notes that editing options vary by subscription and content type.

Does Kyros send leads to HubSpot?

No. Kyros has no native HubSpot connection and no CRM of its own. You can collect leads in the chat with an Interactive Card (Beta), for example as a callback request. Submissions are stored per Card and can be exported as CSV, and a Card action can also send them to your own endpoint. Kyros doesn’t offer a ready-made transfer to HubSpot.

Does HubSpot’s cookie banner block the Kyros code?

Not automatically. According to HubSpot, its banner can’t automatically block cookies from scripts you place on the page yourself. Tying the code to consent requires HubSpot’s cookie banner API. Whether you need that is a question for your data protection officer. On the Kyros side: hosted in Germany, with a DPA under Art. 28 GDPR available; the provider of the chosen AI model processes messages, not always in Germany.

How much does Kyros cost on HubSpot pages?

The Starter plan is €0, permanently, with no credit card required. It includes one assistant with a chat widget and monthly credits. Every message uses credits, and each model shows its credits per message before you choose it. Pro and Business are available on request. You don’t need a HubSpot Professional subscription for Kyros, since HubSpot says the code snippet field is available on all plans.
