Connect Kyros to Slack
Kyros lives on your website — there is no prebuilt Slack app. Chat events reach Slack through the API action of an interactive card that calls an incoming webhook.

How events flow into Slack
- In Slack, create an incoming webhook (or workflow trigger) for the target channel and copy the URL.
- In Kyros, build an interactive card in the Card Builder that collects the relevant details — e.g. request and email.
- Give the submit button a “Call an API” action and enter the webhook URL and the message payload there.
- In Studio, define when the assistant offers the card, test it live, and publish with “Apply to assistant”.
Typical use cases
- Post new requests from the website chat straight into a sales channel.
- Mirror callback or appointment requests as a message into a team channel.
- Send approvals or notifications from card actions to Slack.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a native Kyros Slack app?
No. Kyros is a website-widget platform, not a Slack app. You connect Slack through the API action of an interactive card that calls a Slack incoming webhook.
So how do messages reach Slack?
Via an incoming webhook or workflow trigger in Slack. A card action in Kyros calls that URL and passes the collected data, so the message appears in your chosen channel.
Can my team take over a conversation in Slack?
Not today. Kyros has no live handover to human agents. You can be notified via webhook and reach the visitor through the contact details collected; the full conversation is available in Chatlogs.
Do I need coding skills for this?
Not for a simple incoming webhook. You copy the webhook URL from Slack and paste it into the card’s API action. The Card Builder is currently labelled beta.
